Abby Gutierrez aka Miss Geo hails from Newport, Rhode Island. She writes a mix of indie pop, new wave, and alternative. She’s self-released her debut album “The Story” which was produced by friend Rob Arbelo.
In true D.I.Y spirit, they spent eight months recording the album in bedroom studios and warehouses in Boston. “We ate alot of pizza, Rob built bass traps from Home Depot, and I sang in a coat closet!” The album was then mastered by Keith Freund. Despite homely beginnings, the end result has been marked as a polished and cohesive record.
The Deli Magazine writes: “indie-pop artist Miss Geo is ready to make a big impact on the New England music scene, and with an album like The Story, it’s hard not to be impressed.”
Her live band includes Chris Mendoza, James Wilhelmsen, and features Jessy Bartlett, a local Boston University songstress and college radio dj whom she met while working together at a cafe.
They are currently playing shows in colleges and venues across the Northeast.
